Simon or Shimon (they/them) is a white antiracist, antizionist, queer, trans, disabled, neuroqueer
person of the Ashkenazi Jewish diaspora living on Anishinaabe land
known as Waawiiyaatanog / Detroit, MI. Beginning in June 2024, they will be based in Western Massachusettes on Nipmuc and
Pocumtuc land. Simon’s people are from Lithuania, France, Germany,
and Eastern and Northwestern Europe. They are a politicized healer, ritualist, educator, and
artist stewarding one to one and group somatic, ancestral, and cultural healing for the sake of
collective liberation. Simon is dedicated to supporting people who support others:
healing practitioners, therapists, teachers, clergy, ritualists, caregivers; as well as people
working toward collective liberation as organizers, activists, artists, and movement leaders.
They offer radical care to fellow people living with disability and/or nuerodivergence and/or chronic
illness, including long covid and autoimmune conditions. Simon understands firsthand what it is to recover from burn out,
addiction, and codependency. They understand and orient to their work as sacred witnessing and accompaniment work as their
clients cultivate embodied resilience amidst this time of great personal and collective
reckoning and transformation. Simon believes in the healing and alchemical power of
connecting with animist (earth, spirit, body-based) ancestral wisdom that is available to us all
when we are ready to turn toward and listen for it. They center queer and trans folx and
work from intersectional feminist, disability justice, and body and sex positive frames.
